To prevent damage to the Fireloop® seismic expansion joint, the building structure and adjacent bracing, a Seismic Breakaway Hanger (SBH) must be installed here. Learn more below.
The SBH is designed to separate at a preset load greater than the seismic joint’s static weight, allowing the Fireloop® complete freedom of movement.
